Two wreaths on behalf of Signallers were laid on Sunday, 21 October 2018 at the Castle of Good Hope. Fahmy Rhode did the honours on behalf of the Signals Association whilst Mr Syd Ireland, the last remaining Signaller in South Africa from WWII, at age 98 paid tribute to his fallen comrades in arms from the 3rd Brigade Signals Company.
